DevLog #2


After getting familiar with the burning pile of the miss scrambled alphabets with assigned meaning that's called my code, I started to refactor and improve many aspects of my code.  I've also started to enable and complete functionality of stuff I coded:

  1. Power ups now don't spawn when another one is in effect, and now have a lower chance to spawn (~30 --> ~20%). Hopefully I should be able to muster a solution for the bar when 2 powerups are in effect, at the moment, the bar should display the newest powerup in effect.
  2. TurretAI has not been fixed nor refactored YET, but Turret now have the ability to shoot with a possibility of a super variant when upgraded.
  3. "Added" new enemy type, The "Sailor of the seven Seas", can be encountered when reached Wave 10.
  4. Added a Kill Count...you narcissist

Not much yet, but progressive is progressive! I'm planning to fix all core functions and optimize. I also have some stuff already coded and fully working but at the moment would get in the way of testing, such as a tutorial and a main menu.
